In 2009, in front of the garage at my house, a small group of talented people dedicated themselves to what is now San Diego’s largest classic car restoration shop, with customers across the country and even the world. From our humble beginnings, we’ve come a long way. We’re now able to provide top-notch service in a beautiful, well-orchestrated facility.
Evolve represents something very special to me: the possibility of a classic car restoration shop that operates at a high level of organization. We’re endeavoring to accomplish something unique: bringing the corporate methodologies that have produced some of the world’s most successful laboratories, manufacturing, and logistics companies, and applying those techniques to classic car restoration.
Over the last eleven years, we’ve developed the restoration industry’s only comprehensive manual for how to restore a classic car in a shop environment, covering every detail from bagging and tagging parts to managing third-party services like chrome plating. Every function at Evolve is documented in all its aspects, so anybody could pick up the documentation and know how the job is done – including measuring performance and quality.
My promise is to be the world’s first restoration shop that achieves ISO certification, the top credential of quality generally thought of in connection with the medical device, energy management, and defense contracting industries – in other words, unheard of in classic car restoration. With the support of our loyal customers, we’re well on our way to creating this profound and new accomplishment in the industry.
